About Me
Heather Pearce (she/her) M.Ed., RP
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and hold a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto.
In our work together, we'll explore both your current challenges and the past experiences that may be influencing them. You can expect to explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours as we work toward improving both your relationship with yourself and your connections to others.
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, and anti-oppressive approach.

The first session often looks a bit different than a “typical” therapy session. We’ll focus on understanding your concerns, background, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions to gather a broad perspective on your experiences, relationships, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. This process helps us identify key areas to work on and create a plan tailored to your needs. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about therapy or how I work.

I accept payment through either credit card or e-transfers to therapy@heatherpearce.ca. Please note that credit card information will still be required to complete your client profile. At this time, I am not able to bill insurance companies directly.

Unfortunately, session fees are not covered by OHIP. However, most private insurance plans cover psychotherapy services. Please check your coverage with your insurance provider to confirm that they cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. If you are eligible for insurance coverage you will be provided with a receipt after each session that can be submitted for reimbursement.

I offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots on a sliding scale to make therapy more accessible for those who may otherwise be unable to afford it. Eligibility for these slots is based on financial need. Please contact me for further details.

My office is on the 3rd floor of 120 Carlton St., accessible by an elevator at the building's entrance. While the building's front doors are automatic, the door to the office is not. Gender-neutral and accessible washrooms are available on the first floor, with a key provided for access.
Face masks are not required to be worn in the building or office, but can be worn if preferred. If you would prefer that we wear masks during our session, please let me know—I am more than happy to accommodate.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let me know at least 48-hours in advance. Cancellations or missed sessions with less tan 48-hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
